My story
Learning to trust, before I understood
My journey started as a Dancer
At 3 years young, I was professionally trained in everything from Ballet to Hip Hop. By 13, I believed I had reached the height in my career, having performed on some of London’s biggest stages.
I was well on track to the stardom that was expected of me.
And beneath that I was miserable.
I had masterfully learnt how to perform, morph and contort myself into what was needed of me, that I didn’t know who I was anymore.
I had internalised the pressure of success as extreme self-criticism, perfectionism, and a perpetual sense of never being good enough, no matter how much validation I received.
For all the striving, forcing and chasing on the road to stardom, my spirit had been crushed.
So when I stepped away from my professional career at 16, I thought my best years were behind me.
I didn’t realise that my journey had only just begun.
By 21, I had signed up for another script that society sold - the 9-5 rat race.
Landing a senior project manager role straight out of University, I was once again an early-achiever on the fast track for “success”. Success, yet again, defined by someone other than myself.
It was some years before I finally made the decision to leave that life.
Because for a time I was navigating my own existential crises
At 22, I underwent a profound consciousness-shifting experience that would take me another 10 years to fully integrate.
I got caught in a trance looking at my own reflection in the mirror.
I found myself beyond the boundaries of my body, where I eventually witnessed myself - and the entire fabric of reality - dissolve into The Void.
When I came back to my body, there was a visceral knowing of my seat of consciousness. Not as a concept, but as a palpable experience of being inside my own body.
I was irrevocably and undeniably changed.
Having seen the threshold of where something becomes no-thing, I was deeply confronted by the temporal nature of my existence and life itself.
My worldview couldn’t explain that experience.
One of the deepest assumptions I'd inherited - that only what can be measured, is real - could no longer hold what I now knew.
In the year following, I was often overwhelmed by the fear that at any moment I could simply disappear.
And beneath, that was a burning question of how life was even possible.
But, something deeper within me knew
that it was the best thing that could have happened to me.
The choice before me felt blindingly clear:
One road led to an almost certain diagnosis and a life increasingly defined by fear, medication and disconnection from myself.
The other road required trust.
Trust that whilst I couldn’t understand it, something miraculous was happening and that in time, eventually, it would all make sense.
Trust that whilst I felt like my mind was breaking,
I was in fact breaking-through.
So I chose.
And my journey took me deeper into inquiry, of my psyche, my body and relationship with life itself.
I found meditation to still my wildly fearful mind.
Yoga and somatic movement reharmonised my mind with my body.
And dance returned to me as a teacher, revealing every aspect of my identity that was not truly me and how to stay with the current of truth inside of me.
My scientific mind was still on a quest to understand, and so I studied.
I immersed myself in psychology, trauma, embodiment, consciousness, the nature of reality and the wisdom of plant medicines.
I deepened my training, entering the rooms of renowned spiritual teachers such as Eckhart Tolle, embodiment practitioners such as Michaela Boehm and human potential leaders such as Oren Harris. Eventually, I certified as a trauma-informed master coach.
And of course, life itself - the greatest teacher - met me with countless initiations that showed me how to embody what I was learning conceptually, and live it.
By 28, I had ambitiously risen to a People & Culture Partner, as trusted advisor of an exec team in corporate. I had also started my coaching and consulting practise around that time and found myself increasingly pulled in two directions. Either foot, in a different canoe.
At 29 and on the heels of burnout, I finally gave up on the paths that I had been sold, and fully embraced the unknown of the path made truly for me.
Since that time, I have been my own living experiment
Embodying what it is to live a life that defies the status quo. Not for pure rebellion, but for the sake of truth. Choosing time after time, alignment with my own intuition and definition of success, guided by source, spirit and universal law.
Beyond my credentials, the wisdom cultivated through these life experiences is what I am most inspired and blessed to share with others.
To support my clients in listening for who they truly are, beneath the noise of the world.
To help them trust their innate guidance within and unapologetically embody the expression of their truth, so they can live, lead and create with clarity, aliveness and meaningful impact.
This is the path I believe we are all innately made for.
All we must do is choose it.
Through our unique contribution, guided by a greater intelligence than our thinking mind could possibly fathom, we begin to offer what is of true value and service to ourselves and the world.
When we hold the The New World In View from this place, it becomes truly possible for us to realise.
This is the world I now devote my life and work to.
